Welcome to The Running Therapist!
My name is Heather, and I am a runner, writer, and clinical mental health counseling graduate student. While I’ve been blogging for some quite time, I created this space as a place to talk about the connection between running and therapy and how the two can help us grow and find our path in the world.
This blog is meant to be interactive, so please leave your comments on any posts or contact me directly.
Disclaimer: Please note that I am not a licensed counselor (yet), a doctor, a nutritionist, or a running coach, and any thoughts I share are my own alone and apply to either my personal experiences or the general public. I will make recommendations, but please do not take any of the comments made here to be substitutions for physical or mental health advice, and always contact your primary care physician or therapist for specific questions regarding your own health and training.
If you are in serious danger to yourself or others, please call 911 or the National Suicide Prevention Lifelife at 1-800-273-8255.
Thanks for visiting my blog, and I look forward to hearing from you!
